Deborah Miller, MA, is a fourth-year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at Ball State University. She has worked as a counselor at college campuses in Indiana, and at the Office of Health, Drug, and Alcohol Education at Ball State. Main areas of clinical interest include LGBT issues and substance abuse. Research interests include LGBT issues and clinical judgment. She enjoys working with clients from a family-based perspective, exploring how client family roles shape them and influence their current relationships and well-being. Additionally, she takes a multicultural perspective in her work with all clients to explore how diversity issues impact the counseling relationship, client functioning, and overall mental health.
