Academic Recommendations for Recruitment:
Have a High School GPA of a 2.5
Ball State or Transfer Students:
Completed at least 12 hours of course work
Have a cumulative grade point average of a 2.5
Academic information is verified, and is an important factor in the selection process. If your academic performance is below these levels, you are making an informed decision to participate in the recruitment process and are aware that your deficient academic records may substantially limit or in some cases eliminate your opportunities for membership in a Ball State sorority. To participate in formal recruitment women must be undergraduates enrolled at Ball State.
Academic Record Release
When registering for you recruitment, you will be asked to authorize Ball State University Registration and Records Office to disclose the following information contained in your educational records: high school scholastic information, total semester report (schedule, grades, hours, etc.), semester and cumulative grade point average and hours completed. This information is released to the Assistant Director of Student Life to inform sororities of individual academic performance, recognition, and educational needs.
A $40 registration fee is charged to all women taking part in the recruitment process. You can pay by check, money order, cash or online payment. This fee covers a bag, refreshments and snacks during the last day of recruitment and the administrative needs (i.e., booklets, copying, facility costs, etc.) associated with the process.
