We are excited that you will joining us for Orientation at Ball State!

Students who stay in a residence hall during their Orientation session get a real taste of what it is like to live on campus. Plus they have the opportunity to fully participate in all of Orientation’s evening and late night activities.

On-campus overnight housing is available for students and family members in Ball State's residence halls. You may choose to stay one, two, or three nights as needed. Be sure to note the dates you have chosen to attend Orientation — this information will be needed when registering for overnight housing accommodations. To register for on-campus Orientation housing accommodations, see the instructions above.

The top reasons to stay on campus during Orientation are:

  • Experience living in a residence hall before August Move-In
  • Meet and get to know more Ball State students
  • Interact more with Orientation Leaders who also live in DeHority

  • Proximity! The DeHority Complex is close to all Orientation Programs and Sessions

  • Participate in all evening and late night Orientation activities

  • Free high-speed wireless internet

  • Comfortable accommodations including lounges and kitchen
  • Low cost – students only pay $25.00 a night to stay in the DeHority Complex
