Is there a deadline to apply?
Yes, students should apply prior to July 31. There is limited space in the program and students' requests to participate will be accepted on a first-come, first serve basis.

Do I need special skills?
No, just a person who is friendly and has a willingness to learn.

What's in this program for me?
Students will have the opportunity to met current student leaders and staff, learn how to get involved on campus, and meet lots of new people!

Is there a cost or fee?
No. There is no cost or fee. We just ask that you are ready to learn and have fun.

When will I know if I was selected?
Students will be notified no later than August 1.

What obligations will I have?
We ask that students participating in Accelerate move in a few days before other students. Move in day for Accelerate students will be Sunday, August 14 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. We also expect you to participate in the Accelerate functions and assist with move-in activities.

Where will I stay?
Students in the Accelerate program will move into their residence hall. When you arrive on campus, you will want to check in at LaFollette Complex for the Accelerate program and you will receive your hall and room assignment, as well as keys, at that time. You will be able to move into your hall that afternoon.

Where do I check in?
Participants must check in at LaFollette Complex on Sunday, August 14 from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. The first Accelerate opening program begins at 2 p.m.

How do I find LaFollette Complex?
LaFollette Complex is located on-campus on McKinley Avenue across from Worthen Arena. From Interstate 69, use these directions:
-From I-69, take the 332 exit and head east. (This road will become McGalliard Avenue when reaching the city limits.)
-At Tillotson Avenue, turn right (south)
-At Bethel Avenue, turn left (east)
-At McKinley Avenue, turn right (south)
Lafollette Complex will be on the right just after Johnson Complex.
