Discover Living-Learning Community

The Discover Living-Learning Community is for students who are undecided about their majors. They can expect an environment that focuses on exploring majors and minors offered at Ball State, while learning the skills to be successful at college.

Students in this community have the opportunity to do the following:

  • Learn about academic resources and support offered to first-time freshmen
  • Become engaged in the Ball State community by learning about student organizations, clubs, and activities
  • Meet other students who are exploring their major and minor choices at Ball State
  • Learn about possible careers related to decisions about majors

Partners: To accomplish these goals, the Discover Living-Learning Community works closely with the Career CenterLearning CenterCounseling Center, Academic Advising, and academic departments to foster a strong support network for students exploring their choices for majors.

Programming: Programs students might participate in include "Meet Your Major" nights, in-hall advising, study skill strategies, tutoring, review sessions, events dedicated to meeting different student organizations, and community trips to cultural events.

Location: The Discover Living-Learning Community is located in Painter/Whitcraft Halls within Studebaker West Complex.
