Programs and Events
Our office creates exciting programs about different cultures, races, backgrounds, and ethnicities. We encourage all students to participate and learn more about the world around them and the people they interact with daily.
Every year, we invite
guest speakers as well as conduct lecture series to educate those interested in knowing more about our diverse world. Notable speakers such as Johnnetta Cole, author and board of directors chair for the
Johnnetta B. Cole Global Diversity and Inclusion Institute, participated in a lecture that took place on campus. Our professors and students speak to large crowds about the importance of participating in various events around campus and in the community.
We also encourage new students and current students to become a part of
Excel, a five-day program to help incoming freshmen make the transition to college life. Current students can serve as
mentors and new students will have the benefit of knowing someone on campus.
