Heritage Film Series

If you like movies that highlight historical and social perspectives, you will enjoy our Heritage Film Series. The series is held at 7 p.m. every last Wednesday of the month.

We usually feature films that correspond to heritage months and current events. Past films include My Home—Your War, a documentary that looks at the effect of the war in Iraq through the eyes of an ordinary Iraqi woman, and Prom Night in Mississippi, which explored the tradition of segregated proms in the state of Mississippi.

We welcome any suggestions on movies from students and faculty. The Multicultural Center Advisory Board also works closely with us in assessing student needs and wants for the series.

The next movie in the Heritage Film Series will be shown Wednesday, September 25, at 7:00 p.m. in AC 114.  Join us as we watch: Espiral in Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
