Black Issues Conference

The Black Student Association presents the Black Issues Conference Thinking Globally: Being Black in a Global Society. The mission of the Black Issues Conference is to educate, encourage and empower students and community members by providing them with a forum for discussion and dialogue centering on the Black community. Keynote speaker Rasheed Ali Cromwell will highlight the conference.

The Black Issues Conference will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, in the L. A. Pittenger Student Center, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Student Center Ballroom.

Registration for the conference will close on February 28, 2013. You must register online by February 28, 2013, if you plan to attend. For more information, email Barry Hawkins or call the Office of Student Life, (765) 285-2621.

Diversity Symposium

The Diversity Symposium is the final event of Unity Week 2013: Remembering the Past, Uniting the Present, and Dreaming for the Future.

The mission of the Diversity Symposium is to bring together students, faculty and staff of Ball State University to learn more about themselves and others as multicultural beings. The aim is to unify, educate and empower attendees in a safe and inclusive environment.

The Diversity Symposium will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
