BEAT

Founded: February 27, 2012

BEAT is a student-led group which increases awareness of energy use and promotes energy reduction initiatives. We provide resources to help students and faculty learn about and reduce energy consumption. In order to do this we hold events on campus that include: Residence Hall Energy Challenge, America Recycles and Earth Day. The Residence Hall Energy Challenge is a month-long competition among the residence halls to reduce the most energy. There are 10 residence halls which participate and the winning residence hall receives a grand prize at the end of the challenge. Anyone can participate in the event activities. Contact BEAT or visit our Web site if you are interested in reducing energy use on campus and participating in events! President: Lee Jerstad, VP: Kris Kaizer, Facebook: Ball State Energy Action Team, Twitter: @_TheBeat.
