The Ball State Energy Action Team (BEAT) is a student-led group aimed at reducing on-campus energy use and promoting green initiatives to students and faculty. As Ball State's student voice for environmental issues, we seek to reduce the university's carbon footprint by sponsoring educational events, promoting campus sustainability efforts, and providing practical ways students and staff can work, study and play while caring for the environment.

Our major event is the fall and spring Energy Challenge where residence halls and academic buildings compete to see who can reduce the most energy in four weeks. BEAT is open to any student who is passionate about caring for the environment and wants to encourage their fellow students to "reduce their use." If you are interested in joining, contact BEAT or visit our Web site. President: AnnaPasquali, Facebook: Ball State Energy Action Team, Twitter: @_TheBeat.
