Dance Marathon is a student-run organization benefitting Riley Hospital for Children. More specifically, the Palliative Care Program and the Magic Castle Cart. Dance Marathon raises money by encouraging all of its participants to raise $100 before the Spring marathon, and through corporate sponsors. Our organization also hosts various fundraisers throughout the year such as a golf scramble and a 3v3 basketball tournament. All fundraising efforts lead up to the actual dance marathon that takes place in February. At the marathon, participants stand on their feet for a 12-hour period in awareness for the kids battling various illnesses at home or at Riley Hospital. Activities at the marathon include: playing relay games, learning an awesome line dance, enjoying live music, a rave hour, but most importantly, listening to Riley families share their inspirational stories. At the end of the night, everyone gathers around the stage to find out the total amount raised throughout the year. If you have any questions or comments, visit our Web site or contact Emily Probst.
