Your adventure will begin with a meet & greet at the Outdoor Pursuits’ Climbing Wall. During this time students will engage in climbing, group activities, as well as a pizza party! Students will also have the opportunity to stay in the BSU residence halls to get the full college experience. The following morning the group will hit the road and head to North Carolina where they will spend three nights camping in the Smoky Mountains, preparing meals around a campfire, and exploring the natural wonders of the Great Smoky National Park and its surrounding areas. Participants will have the option to either day hike a short portion of the Appalachian Trail to Charlies Bunion where participants will experience panoramic views of the North Carolina Smokies or visit Clingmans Dome, the highest point in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The week will conclude with an introductory whitewater rafting trip down one of America’s most popular whitewater runs on the Nantahala River.
