The Family and Consumer Sciences Alumni Board accepts recommendations annually for the following awards:
Emerging Professional Award of Merit The nominee must have demonstrated an excellent potential for future success in his or her chosen field and have exhibited a history of success within the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.
Previous Award Winners
Award of Achievement The nominee must be in a position of responsibility and have demonstrated a history of success (promotions, awards, recognitions, etc.) within the Family and Consumer Sciences Department and/or academe.
Previous Award WinnersAward of Distinction The nominee must hold or have held a position of distinction in education, business, government, or academe; demonstrate outstanding success in his or her field, related to family and consumer sciences; demonstrate loyalty to, support of, and leadership on behalf of the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences; is recognized as a civic leader through volunteer service to his or her community; and display extraordinary service to human kind.

Outstanding Alumni Award Nominations for the Outstanding Alumni Award are no longer being accepted as the award has been replaced by the Award of Distinction and the Award of Achievement as noted above.
