Students: Additional Services and Information

There are a wide range of support services designed to assist students with all of the technology available on campus. Our goal has been to provide the necessary technology support services on-campus in easy to access locations.

Getting Computer Help
Contacting the HelpDesk is a great place to start if you need computer help. You can reach the HelpDesk via helpdesk@bsu.edu, by calling 765-285-1517, or by visiting RB 165. Many issues can be resolved during your initial contact with the HelpDesk.

In addition, the HelpDesk offers a service called TechTime.  TechTime provides one-on-one assistance to students. It is a free service that provides outstanding technical support for a wide range of technology issues. If TechTime determines your issue is hardware-related they can help you get help from Hardware Repair. Hardware Repair can work on all Apple laptops or on Windows-based machines purchased in the Computer Store.

Borrow a Laptop
For students whose laptop is being repaired or for those who don't own a laptop, Equipment and Projectionist Services, located in Bracken Library, has a laptop loaner program which has a collection of laptops that they loan to students.

Purchasing Computers, Printers, and Accessories
The Computer Store located in the Robert Bell Building, room 134b is a great place to shop for a computer, a printer, or most other technology devices and accessories--we even sell Apple iPods.
