We offer several ways to contact our friendly and knowledgeable technology support experts. Each is detailed below:

Online Help Resources
Use our online help resources to find quick answers to commonly asked questions.

E-mail the HelpDesk 
Use e-mail to get technical assistance. During business hours, our staff constantly monitors the mailbox and will quickly reply to your request. If you are reporting a technical problem with Ball State-owned equipment that cannot be resolved via e-mail, we will log a problem ticket and route it to a Local Service Provider (LSP) who will then contact you to make arrangements to resolve the problem. E-mails sent after business hours will be addressed the next business day.

Call the HelpDesk
Expert technical support is only a few digits away. Call 765-285-1517 or toll-free at 866-771-3276. Our staff have been trained in all aspects of technology used on campus to provide you with quick answers to your technology questions. During HelpDesk business hours, our staff answer the phones and can provide assistance. After-hours calls are handled by a computer room operator.

Stop by RB 165 or a University Computer Lab for Individual Assistance
The Information Desk is located in the Robert Bell Building, room 165. Stop by to ask a quick question, report a problem, or get technical assistance. Stop by the Information Desk if you need help with your laptop’s wireless connection or have other technical issues you would like to resolve. The HelpDesk is right around the corner, so they will be glad to come and assist you. In addition to the Information Desk, feel free to stop by any University Computer Lab for help.

Submitting an Online Assistance Request Form will report the problem to the HelpDesk and we will arrange for technical support to address the problem as quickly as possible.

Online HelpDesk Chat
Get online help from a knowledgeable HelpDesk employee by using the HelpDesk Chat.  (Chat is available Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 11:00 am and 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.  In addition, it is open evenings from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday -Thursday.)
