Governing and Decision Model

Two governing bodies exist to provide leadership and guidance in prioritizing the acquisition, integration, and development of information technology systems to support the strategic needs of the university.

The Executive Oversight Group translates the university's strategic needs into information technology systems and project priorities. This group establishes the standards for approving the implementation of new information technology systems for the university. They determine the guidelines for deciding when to purchase, upgrade, create or continue to support systems that align with the university's mission.

The Administrative Processes, Procedures, and Systems Group (APPS Group) manages the purchase requisitions and assessment of project proposals from university offices and departments. Following the standards and system priorities set by the Executive Oversight Group, the APPS Group can help to align the functional requirements of the requesting unit with the university's requirements for system integration, support, security, and availability.
