University Computing Services is comprised of several groups. It is our goal to provide the appropriate technology, information, and support services to enhance teaching and learning experiences at Ball State University.
Our division is made up of six main groups:
These groups work both together to create a rich learning environment for students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the community at large.
For instance, find out how the Networking and Communications group made it possible for Ball State to be rated Intel's most unwired United States campus in 2005 and continues reseach on expanding the reach of wireless on campus and in the community. Academic Support integrated PDAs into the classroom to create multiple learning opportunities for nursing students.
The Information Security and Server Support group is involved with a number of initiatives and projects to ensure the safety and security of Ball State's information technology services. Computer Operations is responsible for providing faculty, staff and students with continuous computing availability to the campus community for all of the academic and administrative information systems.
