Desktop Support

The Desktop Support group is a team of professional Local Service Providers (LSPs) that provide information technology support for the faculty and staff of Ball State University.

Primary LSP duties are troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware, and network issues that affect BSU desktop and laptop computers. Other duties include advising customers in making technology purchases, promoting technology awareness and training, and facilitating the resolution of technology problems through cooperation with other Information Technology departments.

To request assistance from an LSP, University employees can contact the HelpDesk via e-mail to helpdesk@bsu.edu, by calling 765-285-1517, or stopping by Robert Bell Building, Room 165. You can also request assistance by submitting an Online Assistance Request form.
