Gaming and Health

healthmedia2 We are very interested in exploring the relationships between health and gaming activities, specifically in relation to the psycho-social motivations for gaming as well as the potential impacts of active gaming systems like the Nintendo Wii.

Physical Impacts of Gaming
Currently in development, is a project that will track biological responses of the body while using active and less-active gaming systems and individual games.

Worksite Wellness
Also in the planning stages, is a study exploring how active-gaming systems like the Nintendo Wii could be used in the workplace to encourage not only physical activity during the workday but also foster job satisfaction and lower job-stress levels.
