Our program is competitive and limited to 16 students each year. You may apply to the program at any time with either the online or the paper application form; however, we begin evaluating applications for the summer/fall term as early as the preceding February.
We accept applications until we fill all 16 spots.
- Currently enrolled Ball State undergraduate or graduate biology students may apply directly to the Biotechnology Certificate Program.
- U.S. citizens currently not enrolled at Ball State University must first apply to the Graduate School and then to the program.
- International students currently not enrolled at Ball State University must first apply through the Rinker Center for International Programs. If interested in a departmental graduate assistantship for fall semester, you must submit your application to the Rinker Center by December 31. Please contact the Rinker Center for guidance through the application process.
Note: You must first be accepted into Ball State University before we accept you into the program.
