One of the most meaningful ways alumni and friends in the professional world can share in the mission of the College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) is to mentor students. That’s what the CAP Connection program is all about.
Created by the
CAP Alumni Board, this program connects individual students with practitioners who provide one-on-one insight into their chosen field. The initiative is modeled after a program at the University of Minnesota’s College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, one of the largest in the nation.
CAP Connection envisions a worldwide network of professionals mentoring students throughout their academic years and on into their careers, where they in turn begin mentoring future generations of professionals.
Mentoring is seen as building a community of wisdom, and as such, it can continue indefinitely with
benefits for everyone.
