The master of architecture postprofessional degree (MArch II) is for students who have completed their master of architecture professional education and wish to pursue research-oriented academic studies. The postprofessional degree is not accredited.
U.S. citizens must first apply to and be accepted to Ball State University by Graduate School.
Prospective international students must first apply and be accepted to Ball State University by the Rinker Center for International Programs.
Once accepted to Ball State University by Graduate School or the Rinker Center for International Programs, applicants then may submit additional application materials (see requirements below) to the Department of Architecture for consideration of admission into the master of architecture (MArch II) postprofessional degree program.

Three letters of recommendation (there no recommendation form)
Please mail a hard copy of your portfolio:
- A portfolio (8.5 x 11 inches bound) including evidence of design work in university courses and studios and/or professional practice. If teamwork is shown, you must clearly indicate what your role was. Artistic work and hands-on building work can also be included.

The GRE is not required.
The departmental deadline to receive application materials is March 15, 5 p.m.
