Life After Ball State

Earning your degree from Ball State prepares you for the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (LARE). According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, as of January 2008, 49 states required landscape architects to be licensed. The licensing exam is given in two portions: graphic and multiple choice.

Some states require you to pass local exams in addition to the LARE. State examinations focus on laws, environmental regulations, plants, soils, climate, and any other characteristics unique to the state.

After passing your licensing exams, you will have numerous career opportunities for employment in professional firms or public agencies. You can expect to be involved in a variety of projects and serve in various roles throughout your career.
