When you're seeking your
bachelor's,
master's, or
doctoral degree, we are looking for bright, curious students who want a challenge.
We offer
five bachelor’s degree programs that will prepare you for different areas of chemistry.
Our 43-hour
chemistry option, certified by the American Chemical Society, will prepare you for a job in industry or government. Our
departmental option prepares you for a career that requires a strong background in chemistry and for further studies in a graduate or professional program. Our
biochemistry option will also prepare you for a job or advanced studies. Plus, we offer two teaching options.
If you plan to study mathematics or another science, consider chemistry as a
minor.
Your learning at Ball State will go
beyond the classroom. Starting your freshman year, you can get hands-on laboratory research, thanks to the
Chemistry Research Immersion Summer Program, a model for other universities.
When you earn your degree, you will be well-prepared for
life after Ball State.
