All communication studies undergraduate majors must take a series of departmental core courses, including argumentation; interpersonal, public, and intercultural communication; persuasion; message design; and communication theory.
Upon this foundation, students choose a major concentration that will result in a bachelor’s degree in public communication, interpersonal communication, or organizational communication.
Whatever concentration you choose, you’ll find that your Ball State education prepares you well for a communication-related career. Reasons to study here include a decidedly hands-on approach to learning with practical assignments and internships, small class sizes, and a great facility, the David Letterman Communication and Media Building.
