To be admitted to our doctor of philosophy (PhD) program in educational studies, you’ll need to satisfy the
requirements of the Graduate School as well as meet the
department’s criteria, which include having a master’s degree with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5 and a combined score on the verbal and quantitative sections of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) of at least 1,000.
You’ll also have to submit transcripts of all your previous college level work, five letters of recommendation, a cover letter indicating your interests and your expectations from the doctoral program, and a sample of academic writing.
You will need to complete an
application for the Graduate School. In addition, you should send the cover letter, current educational and employment vitae, and evidence of high levels of competence in written and oral expression in English (usually the materials submitted in completion of the application) to:
