Scott Inks is an associate professor of marketing and the assistant director of the H.H. Gregg Center for Professional Selling. He teaches undergraduate professional selling and sales technology courses and graduate courses in marketing and customer relationship management.  As associate director of the sales center, Inks is responsible for maintaining the audio/video and computer technology utilized in the sales video recording labs, serves as editor of the Careers in Professional Selling magazine, and advisor to Pi Sigma Epsilon and the Sales Student Advisory Board.

Inks received his undergraduate degree in agricultural economics from Purdue University in 1987. He then spent three years in agri-chemical sales before attending Ball State University where he earned an MBA.  He then earned a PhD from the University of Memphis in 1997.  Majoring in marketing, he specialized in the areas of professional sales and sales and marketing technology. His dissertation examined sales force automation implementation, and he has published papers related to the use of technology in sales, sales ethics, and sales education.  He continues to do research and consulting in sales and sales and sales training.
