Daniel Baack received his doctorate in Marketing and International Business from Saint Louis University in May 2006. His research interests include: 1) Advertising and cognition, including the influence of creativity on advertising effectiveness and the role of associative networks in the building of brand equity and 2) Culture and advertising adaptation, including the influence of culture on marketing communications.

His research has been published in various journals including the Journal of Advertising, Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Business Research, and European Journal of Marketing. He has presented over 30 conference papers at a variety of conferences included the Academy of International Business International Conference, the American Academy of Advertising Conference, and the American Marketing Association Winter Conference. When not working, Baack enjoys spending time with his wife, YenWen Kuo, and three young children, Andrew, Emilee, and Jason. He also likes watching, and occasionally playing, basketball.
