Transferring Credits Into Ball State
For an associate's degree, a student must complete at least 15 of the last 20 credit hours in residence at Ball State University. For students pursuing a bachelor's degree, at least 30 of the last 40 credit hours must be earned in residence at Ball State. Credit hours earned through the Independent Learning Program after January 13, 1997, count as residence credit. Transferring Credits Out of Ball State The transfer value of credits earned through the Ball State Independent Learning Program rests with the institution to which a student hopes to transfer the credit. Before enrolling in a Ball State Independent Learning Program course, consult the registrar or admission's office of the school that is to accept the credits to ensure the course's transferability.
