If you plan to come to Ball State University for English language training only, please fill out the Intensive English Institute (IEI) Application. If you plan to pursue a degree, whether you wish to be admitted regularly or conditionally, please fill out the Traditional Degree-Seeking Application.

You may apply for admission to Ball State with an online application (by request, we can provide a PDF file of the application and instructions that you may print). Be sure to review the admission requirements applicable to you; then complete an application. The type of study you would like to pursue at Ball State determines which application you must complete.
Traditional Degree-Seeking Applicant
If you are applying to Ball State University as a traditional degree-seeking student for bachelor's, master’s, or doctoral study, complete and submit the degree-seeking application online.
Exchange Program Applicant
If you are applying to Ball State University as part of an established exchange program between the university that you are currently attending and Ball State, complete the exchange student application online.
Online and Distance Education Applicant
If you are applying to Ball State’s Online and Distance Education program, complete the online and distance education application online.
