Immigration Assistance

The Rinker Center for International Programs provides immigration counseling to Ball State’s nonimmigrant population and community at large. We are experts in the rules and regulations of F-1, J-1, and H-1B

Rinker Center also acts as the university liaison to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL), and the Indianapolis Workforce Development Alien Certification Unit.

We ensure that our nonimmigrant constituency maintains legal, lawful status while at Ball State University and is able to qualify for the maximum number of benefits from USCIS.

Immigration-related services include:

  • transfer between Ball State and other U.S. academic institutions
  • employment applications
  • reinstatement applications
  • travel endorsements
  • applications to change nonimmigrant status
  • production of immigration documents for prospective international undergraduate and graduate and professional students
  • applications to obtain, amend, and/or to extend H-1B, faculty/staff status
