Info for Admitted Students

Congratulations on your admission to Ball State! We’re excited to have you join our thriving academic and social community. To secure your place in the next Ball State freshman class, all you need to do is return the Enrollment Confirmation Form included in your admission packet, along with your $100 nonrefundable enrollment deposit. This deposit will be applied to your first-semester fees. By submitting the form and deposit, you formally confirm your college choice and accept our offer of admission.

The priority deadline for returning the Enrollment Confirmation Form is May 1. If you have misplaced your form, you can download a copy of it or request a duplicate from the Office of Admissions at 800-482-4BSU or 765-285-8300.

After you’ve confirmed your enrollment with us, you will receive a Housing and Dining Contract and an invitation to Orientation, a required two-day program held in June and July for incoming freshmen.

Once you've confirmed your enrollment, there are a few important details to take care of before you begin your first semester at Ball State:

Obtaining Financial Aid

If you haven’t already, apply for financial aid and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 10. You should also start looking for scholarships. To find out what scholarships are available, ask your high school guidance office, check the Web or your local library, and use the online search tools we’ve provided.

Reserve Your Room

In mid-March or later, we’ll send you a housing and dining contract (in late-March or so). This is your opportunity to request the kind of room you’ll live in on campus, who will be your roommate, and the kind of meal plan you will have.

Attend Orientation

In April we’ll send you an invitation to Orientation, a required two-day program in June and July for incoming freshmen. At orientation, we’ll introduce you to Ball State’s vibrant campus life and tradition of innovation in teaching and learning. You’ll also register for classes and receive your Ball State identification card.

Get Moved

By early August, you’ll receive information about moving into the residence halls. When you come to campus in mid-August for Welcome Week, you can build upon the connections you made during Orientation, learn more about campus life, and meet other students before classes begin.
