Jeffrey L. Cohen, distinguished lecturer and instructor of marketing analytics and social media, presents "Personal Branding Through Social Media" as part of the Miller College of Business Distinguished Lecture Series. Free and open to the public. Seating is limited.
As more parts of our lives are lived online, our personal brand has more meaning and importance than ever before. Whether you are preparing to start your career or have much of your career behind you, we are now judged by our online presence. Potential employers google us. Friends stalk our social profiles. Even mom wants to be our friend on Facebook.
Discover the right social media platforms to build your reputation, grow your professional network and connect with friends and colleagues by creating, curating and sharing relevant information. Selfies and cat videos will not help you get your next job. Smart and helpful content will.
Credit toward the Miller College of Business Advanced Professionalism Certificate will be given.
