The Asian American Student Association (AASA), formerly known as the Asian Student Association, was approved to become a student organization March 26, 1991. Formerly located in the Multicultural Center, AASA is now advised through the Office of Student Life, the clearing house for all recognized student organizations.

AASA is a group of students whose purpose is to provide cultural and educational programming about Asian American history, culture, and interests. The primary goal of AASA is to strengthen cultural pride and facilitate the development of a campus environment conducive to cultural appreciation. All programs and activities sponsored by the Asian American Student Association are free to Ball State Students. You may be wondering whether you have to be Asian or of Asian descent to become a member—the answer is "no." AASA welcomes all students of every racial background to become members. Membership is free!  Programs sponsored by the Asian American Student Association include:

                - Comedy Shows
                - Educational Speakers
                - *Midwest Asian American Student Union (MAASU) Conference
                - Annual Asian American Fashion Show

 Who do I contact to get involved with AASA?
AASA has become what it is to day because of its dedicated members and hardworking executive board. Meetings are held every Monday at 5 p.m. in Bracken Library Classroom 1 located on the lower level. Everyone is welcome to attend.
