Accelerate your involvement at Ball State by joining Housing and Residence Life's Accelerate 2010!
Students chosen for this program will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with campus and connect with current student leaders and staff. Accelerate will help you develop leadership skills by connecting you with experienced leaders in your hall and introducing you with resources that will help you become involved on campus and in the residence halls. A former Accelerate participant said, “I really enjoyed the Accelerate program. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I wish everyone could be in a program like this because I think it really made a difference in my transition from home to college.”
Please note: Program dates will be selected in spring 2010. Registration will be open beginning May 1, 2010.
To participate in this program, complete the online registration form to indicate your interest. Participants are invited to take part in Accelerate based on availability. For additional questions, contact Ball State's Office of Housing and Residence Life at 765-285-8000.
There is no program fee, although students will have responsibilities related to the university's fall move-in and opening activities.

9:15 a.m. Welcome and housing introductions
9:30 a.m. The Skill of Networking
11:30 a.m. Getting involved on campus
Noon Lunch
1 p.m. Working with hall opening committee
3 p.m. Welcome Week activities
4 p.m. Free time (purchase books, campus business, etc.)
5 p.m. Dinner with resident assistants (RAs)
6:30 p.m. Social activity with resident assistants
