Cardinal Leadership and Service Seminar (CLASS)

Move to campus a few days early and gain valuable experience in the areas of service, citizenship, leadership and success.

In this three-day program, you'll reflect on your expectations of college, learn about the many ways freshmen can get involved on campus, and meet new friends. The Office of Student Life sponsors the Cardinal Leadership and Service Seminar (CLASS), which has been a Ball State tradition since 1996 and has helped hundreds of new students ease the transition to college life. Past participants have gone on to serve in prominent leadership roles on campus, including student mentors, student body president, and student representative on the Ball State Board of Trustees.

One former CLASS participant, Andrea Martinez from Fort Wayne, Indiana, described the experience. "CLASS was a great way to adapt to college life before other students move in. I was able to meet new people, volunteer, and learn about the buildings and opportunities on campus. I recommend this program to any incoming freshman." Space is limited to 150 students.

Please note: Program dates will be selected in spring 2010. Registration will be open beginning May 1, 2010.
