Nemorino is in love with Adina, but she barely knows that he exists. Doctor Dulcamara, a traveling salesman, sells Nemorino a magic love potion which he guarantees will make Adina fall in love with him.

Donizetti's masterpiece of bel canto and comedy contains many unforgettable melodies; the most famous of which is Nemorino's romanza: "Una furtiva lagrima." An enchanting opera for all.
