Darleen Lugenbuhl serves as the Director of Development for the college of Fine Arts and the College of Communications, Information and Media, overseeing the development programs for the colleges to maximize the philanthropic support from their alumni and friends. Darleen’s assigned regional area includes Washington, D.C. and the states of Colorado and California.

Before returning to Ball State in Fall of 2011, Darleen held positions as a Special Gifts Officer for Cornell University, the Director of Capital Campaigns at Loyola University New Orleans, Senior Development Officer for the Tulane University Center Primate Center, Director of Development for the Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland, and Executive Director of Development at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She also served as the Director of Leadership Gifts at Ball state from 1995-2000.

Darleen earned both a BS degree in General Studies with a concentration in Fine Arts and an MA degree in Public Relations from Ball State University.

A native of New Orleans, she is a former music and elementary school teacher and was formerly special assistant to members of the Kohl family.
