Ball State alumnus Raj Seekri of Dallas has donated $25,000 in honor of his father to create the Ram Lal Seekri Endowed Scholarship. Raj Seekri earned his master's degree from Ball State in 1969. He received the Dallas Historical Society's 2008 Award for Excellence in Community Service.

The scholarship is for students pursuing majors in mathematical sciences and students who demonstrate financial need.
