Longtime Muncie resident and Ball State alumna bequeaths $740,000 to the Ball State Fund

Longtime Muncie resident and Ball State University alumna Marjorie B. Rea donated more than $740,000 to the Ball State Fund to meet the greatest current need of the university.

 

Rea was born in 1921 and attended Ball State in 1943, where she was a bookkeeper. Her husband, George F. Rea, graduated from Ball State College in 1952 and served as a field representative for the U.S. Social Security Administration. In that same year, Marjorie worked as a bank teller at Merchants Bank.

 

Marjorie Rea died on March 27, 2010.
