Yount's Mill to welcome Ball State students
Starting this spring the history of Yount’s Mill, a once proud display of Midwest industrial strength through the 1800s, will be unearthed and eventually displayed for all to see. Mark Groover, Ph.D. archaeologist and Ronald V. Morris, Ph.D. historian of Ball State University announced last week that they will be partnering with Yount’s Mill Inn, the Carnegie Museum and the Ball State University Building Better Communities program to conduct an archaeological dig across three semesters (Summer 1, Summer 2 and Fall 2014) at the site of Yount’s Wooolen Mill and Boarding House, located just off of State Road 32 near the Yountsville Bridge.
