Best-selling author Jeannette Walls also will discuss "The Glass Castle," this year's freshman common reader, and NBC News correspondent Bob Dotson is the semester's guest for the David Letterman Distinguished Professional Lecture and Workshop Series.

A committee representing broad participation from the campus community will conduct a routine assessment of the Ball State athletics program. The review must be conducted in 10-year cycles at all NCAA Division I institutions to validate alignment with the Association's goals and standards. A positive outcome would result in recertification of Ball State's participation in NCAA intercollegiate play.
