Hands-on learning is at the heart of our field studies and laboratory experiences as well as internships. Even as an undergrad, you can participate in a research project and work side-by-side with faculty, seeing the ins and outs of a research operation.

We provide exciting immersive learning opportunities that take you well beyond our classrooms. Recent and ongoing projects include working behind-the-scenes at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, monitoring Lake Michigan perch populations, and victim-centered analysis of how sexual assault evidence is managed. These projects make you part of interdisciplinary teams and give you the experience and confidence to succeed after graduation.
