Faculty Undergraduate Research Grants Available!
Deadline to Apply: April 1, 2018 by 5pm
The Office of Immersive Learning and Sponsored Projects Administration is now accepting applications for grants to support faculty engaging undergraduate students in course-based, student-driven research projects. We are seeking proposals for projects that involve a process of study or discovery that will produce new insights, theories, or will apply such knowledge to problem-solving within an academic discipline. Research project results should be worthy of submission for publication in refereed journals and/or presentation at academic conferences and could contribute to external funding opportunities. The project period for this funding is May 15, 2018- May 15, 2019.
Applicants can be faculty members or graduate students who are designated as "instructor of record" in the course identified in the proposal. Undergraduate students are required to earn credit for the course within which the project will be completed during the specified funding period. The maximum fundable amount for this program is $5,000 that can be used for equipment, expendable supplies and for travel to research sites. For more information on application requirements and to review criteria, see Undergraduate Research Guidelines.
