We want you to be successful and achieve your educational goals while you are studying at Ball State. But we also understand that sometimes circumstances present obstacles. If your registration consists of all main campus courses, or a combination of main campus courses and online/distance education courses, before making any changes to your class schedule, contact the Associate Dean of Students/Title IX Coordinator, Administration Building, Room 238, 765-285-1545, to discuss the options available to you.

Should you find it necessary to withdraw from all classes, we will assist you with the paperwork and help you understand how your decision affects your gradesrefunds of fees and tuitionyour financial aid awards and student loanshousing contracts, and your potential reenrollment. The earlier you contact the office, the more help we can provide. You can also find more information on the total withdrawal policy, including withdrawal after the automatic course withdrawal period because of extenuating circumstances.

If the military has called you to active duty, a specific policy applies.

Online and Distance Education students: if you need to withdraw from your only or remaining online courses during a semester or term, please complete our Course and Total Withdrawal form. This form can be located on the Office of the Registrar's site here, under the "Withdraw from All Online and Distance Education Courses."
