Office of Victim Services (OVS)
This program is a comprehensive description of OVS and services that are available for all students, faculty and staff.
This presentation addresses the question, "What will happen if I report a sexual assault?" Specific roles within the campus and criminal justice arena that are explored include hospital, victim assistant, campus judicial affairs, investigator, and prosecution.
Red Flags in Relationships
This informative session presents a general overview of relationship violence and addresses how to recognize potential "red flags" of unhealthy relationships.
Do you want to help but don’t know how? Learn several safe intervention strategies for addressing situations and set personal goals for intervening.
Stuck on You
This presentation will help participants understand the dynamics of stalking. Information will be provided on how to cope and seek counseling and/or legal support for victims, friends and family.
In a talk-show format, the audience first hears from both sides in a date rape scenario. As the program proceeds, the audience is encouraged to examine their own assumptions and biases through interactions with the panel that includes a talk show host, a survivor, an alleged perpetrator, a friend of the alleged perpetrator, and a therapist/expert on the topic. Rape myths as well as rape-supportive attitudes held by both males and females are clarified. Near the conclusion, panel members step out of roles and share insights about their experiences in those roles.
In addition, several events will be conducted through the National Awareness Months:
Stalking Awareness Month
Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Domestic Violence Awareness Month
