Planning ahead for your academic program is important. Help for freshmen comes from Academic Advising, but our faculty and staff welcome any questions you might have. You should make appointments with your biology advisor each year to stay on track. Courses are taught on different cycles, so we have posted sample schedules illustrating possible four-year academic plans as well as the latest alternate-year course schedules.

We offer a variety of ways to go beyond classroom experiences. You can conduct independent research with a faculty mentor, take advantage of experiential learning through biology field studies and immersive learning opportunities, earn academic credit for internships, and join one of our active student organizations.

You can also set yourself apart by completing the requirements for the Honors in Biology designation for your diploma. Talk to your advisor about this option.

Be sure to check out the deadline for graduation registration and sign up for the required senior exit exam if you are in your final semester.
