If teaching is of interest to you, then you may find your niche in one of our teaching major options.
This four-year program meets the high school chemistry and physics certification standards of Indiana. Its sister program is geared at teaching physical sciences at the middle and high school levels.
Ball State has a rich and long tradition of being a teachers college. In our programs, you will learn teaching methods, theories, and principles for teaching at the secondary level. While you will learn a lot from us, we encourage you to create your own thoughts about teaching. After all, it will be your class and your students.
As you enter your senior year, you will have the opportunity to put your knowledge to work as you will spend a semester doing student teaching in an approved school.
Check out Ball State's Undergraduate Catalog or our student handbook to learn more about this major.
