The Miller College of Business is an accredited institution in association with AACSB International. AACSB is the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. As an international accrediting body its mission is to advance quality management education worldwide through accreditation and thought leadership. AACSB was founded in 1916 and is the premier accreditation for collegiate business schools.
Miller College's initial AACSB accreditation occurred in 1978 for its undergraduate program and in 1984 for its graduate program. Subsequent reaffirmation was obtained in 1991. The accounting program accreditation was gained in 1990. In 2000, both business and accounting accreditation were reaffirmed.
Reaffirmation or maintenance of accreditation is based upon a peer-review process that examines the college’s progress and success in meeting the AACSB Accreditation Standards. It reviews the college’s mission, strategic plan, accomplishments and is founded on a continuous process improvement model.
