Sports Performance Program

The Sports Performance degree is a terminal degree that is designed for the student who is serious about becoming a strength professional with special emphasis in college strength coaching. This program provides the student with a board scientific background for coaching and conditioning of athletic populations, and is a cross discipline approach between Exercise Science and Physical Education.

Program Description 
Students accepted into this degree program must take a minimum of 34 semester hours of graduate work to graduate, and have three degree options: 1). Obtain a non-thesis degree, 2). Three hour research paper (RES 697) for a Master of Arts or 3). Six hour thesis (THES 698) for a Master of Science 

Requires: Undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher. Undergraduate Course requirements: Human Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology/Biomechanics, and Exercise Physiology. Weight training class or being a college athlete. An internship in a strength training facility would be looked upon favorably. GRE scores on a general exam required.
