The Department of Physiology and Health Science provides a comprehensive offering of programs that includes the training of future health educators, clinicians in respiratory therapy, and radiography.

Many of our graduates are helping patients by utilizing cutting-edge technology and procedures in clinical settings. Some continue to medical school, while others are drawn to careers in schools and public health departments. Some of our students opt for careers as researchers where they write papers, investigate health related problems, and explore solutions to better their communities.

Our faculty and staff value excellence in teaching, research, and service to the community, university, and profession. Their collective commitment is reflected in a wide array of awards, published works, and critical research activities.

A member of the College of Sciences and Humanities, we offer three majors, three minors, and a combined major offered in conjunction with Physical Education.

Note: If you are looking for information on the Physiology graduate program or Physiology/Anatomy courses, these have been moved to the Biology department, effective July 1, 2015 as part of the reorganization to create the New Health College which is slated to go live in 2016.
